As women, we fast are becoming a matriarchy. We not only are taking the lead on issues of parenting, but also are the primary decision makers in nearly every aspect of our families. Typically, we’re the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Purchasing Officer and Chief Operating Officer. We set the agenda for our families, though we are not defined by it.
I launched Girlpower Marketing, a public relations and marketing consultancy, after spending nearly 20 years in consumer PR with national agencies in roles as Senior VP and Managing Partner. I’ve launched brands for United Airlines, and led the “Search For the Next Ivory Baby.” I’ve sold the nutritional benefits of soy on the Today Show and The View, and criss-crossed the country with a mouse and a cookie on behalf of a women’s apparel giant. As founder and CEO of Girlpower Marketing, I work with my team daily to create targeted public relations and marketing campaigns that help brands build strong relationships with women. All women. That’s Boomer Women, Gen-Xers, Millennials, Moms and Teens. I also speak regularly on marketing to women –– helping the yet-to-be-enlightened understand the power and importance of this demographic.
In my other life, I’m the proud mom of a tween boy who is in his first year of junior high. Some days I’m congratulating myself on having it (and him) all figured out, and some days I feel like I’m back at square one.
This blog will explore both sides of my life –– focusing on my role in the marketing to women space, as well as juggling my roles as wife and mom while helping my son navigate the murky waters of junior high and the emerging teen years.

Congrats, Linda- your blog is a great read! Keep it up!
Linda, I love your website. The posts are substantive but easy to read – and they are relevant to ALL women. Nicely done!
